A pedestrian was killed in a traffic collision in North Fort Worth on Saturday, according to law enforcement officials.
Fort Worth Police Department officers arrived at the scene shortly before 8 p.m. in the block of Timberland Boulevard. Upon arrival, they found an individual who had been struck by a vehicle. The victim was declared dead at the location.
Investigators stated that the driver involved stayed at the scene and worked with police during the initial inquiry. Authorities have not released further details regarding the circumstances of the crash or the condition of the vehicle.
The identity of the deceased person has not been released. Officials noted that identification will be handled by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office once next of kin have been contacted.
