Fort Worth’s Ridgmar Mall is set to be demolished and replaced by a large-scale logistics facility. Dallas-based Ramrock Real Estate LLC acquired the property and intends to transform the site into a 930,960-square-foot complex named Ridgmar 30 Logistics Crossing.
The proposed project consists of six buildings located at the northeast intersection of Interstate 30 and Texas 183. Ramrock is collaborating with KBC Advisors and Lincoln Property Company on the development. Tony Creme, a partner at KBC Advisors, stated that the facility will serve supply chain operations and will not contain data centers.
Demolition work is not scheduled to begin for another 12 to 18 months. During this interim period, developers are continuing discussions with tenants who remain in operation within the mall. Specific future tenants for the logistics center have not yet been identified.
The property’s retail landscape has shifted significantly over the years. JCPenney announced it will permanently close its Ridgmar location later this year. This closure leaves Dillard’s as the only remaining original anchor store from the mall’s 1976 opening. Macy’s closed in 2016, while Sears and Neiman Marcus locations shuttered at earlier dates. A Cinemark movie theater continues to operate at the site.
