A 71-year-old Fort Worth resident died on Wednesday, July 8, after a vehicle fell on top of him at his home in the northeast part of the city. The incident occurred in the 3500 block of Regal Road.
Firefighters arrived at the scene after receiving a report that a person was trapped beneath a car. Crews utilized specialized equipment to free the individual, but he had already passed away, according to Craig Trojacek, a spokesperson for the Fort Worth Fire Department.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the deceased as Christopher Jones. In a statement regarding the incident, the office ruled the death an accident. The medical examiner’s website lists the cause of death as traumatic asphyxia.
