Two food service locations in Arlington faced temporary shutdowns after failing health inspections between June 14 and June 27. The closures were the result of critical violations identified during routine checks, according to city data compiled by the Star-Telegram.

Incredible Burger, situated within The Parks Mall at 3811 S. Cooper St., received a score of 77 during an inspection on June 23. Inspectors documented a roach infestation, unsafe food storage methods, and inadequate handwashing practices. The establishment was ordered to close but was permitted to reopen the following day after passing a follow-up inspection.

A Blue Bell ice cream kiosk located inside AT&T Stadium at 900 E. Randol Mill Road was also shut down. During an inspection on June 17, the facility scored 85 but was found to lack a handwashing station and sanitizing solution. The city has scheduled a future follow-up inspection to verify compliance.

Two additional establishments received low scores but did not face immediate closure orders. Totally Tea, also located in The Parks Mall, scored 68 on June 23 due to poor cleanliness, handwashing issues, and pest control failures. The business rebounded to a score of 81 during a June 24 follow-up visit.

Damian’s Cajun Soul Cafe at 2001 S.E. Green Oaks Blvd. scored 69 on June 24. Inspectors cited improper food storage and labeling, along with general cleanliness problems. A follow-up inspection is planned for the near future.

Arlington utilizes a 100-point grading system for food service establishments. Scores of 75 or lower trigger mandatory follow-up inspections, while a score of 70 or below is classified as extremely poor. Despite the closures, eighteen other facilities, including several bars and food stands within AT&T Stadium, achieved perfect scores of 100.

Arlington is about 13 miles east of Fort Worth.

Further details regarding the specific corrective actions taken by the businesses or the timeline for the upcoming inspections were not provided in the available records.
