Man identified after body found in west Fort Worth pond

Authorities have identified a 30-year-old man whose body was discovered in a pond at an abandoned golf course in west Fort Worth on Tuesday.

Fort Worth law enforcement is looking into the death of a man found in a body of water at a deserted golf course near Calmont Avenue and Lackland Road. Officers and firefighters arrived at the scene around noon on Tuesday after receiving a report of a body in the pond. First responders recovered the remains from the water.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the deceased is 30-year-old Alan Josue Cordova Flores. Police stated that there were no visible signs of trauma or foul play at the scene. Homicide detectives are currently investigating the incident. The medical examiner’s office will determine the cause and manner of death following an autopsy, but those details are not yet clear.
