Six new or upcoming dining establishments are opening or expanding across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, according to a recent report by Community Impact. The list includes locations that are now open and others scheduled for future openings, though the report notes it is not an exhaustive compilation of all regional dining news.

In Allen, Wonder, an app-based food hall concept, is preparing to open at 829 W. Stacy Road, Ste. A100. The company, which is expanding into Texas, allows customers to order dishes from more than 20 different restaurants in a single transaction. The menu features made-to-order items from various cuisines, including collaborations with chefs like Bobby Flay and restaurants such as Tejas Barbecue, as well as Wonder’s own concepts like Pop Salad. The specific opening date for the Allen location has not yet been determined.

Royal Roastery Express has opened in Richardson at 1403 E. Campbell Road, Ste. 110, following a grand opening event on June 26. The new establishment serves coffee, freshly squeezed juice, fruit bowls, pastries, and a selection of desserts that includes Turkish delights and baklava.

Cafe Brazil has reopened in McKinney at 318 N. Central Expressway, Ste. 318, occupying the space previously held by Jungle Burger. Owner Lindsay Pultz confirmed the June 27 opening of the 24-hour coffeehouse and eatery. This marks a return to the city, as a previous Cafe Brazil location operated there from 2005 to 2012 before closing due to nearby highway construction and reduced traffic. For the initial weeks, the McKinney location will operate with limited hours from Sunday through Tuesday, while Wednesday through Saturday hours will follow a 24-hour schedule.

Construction on a new First Watch in Keller is scheduled to begin on July 1 at 1241 Keller Parkway. According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the $900,000 renovation project is expected to be completed by the beginning of November. The restaurant will serve breakfast items including sandwiches, hashes, pancakes, waffles, granola bowls, and breakfast tacos.

Zalat Pizza is set to open its 31st Texas location in McKinney this summer at 1720 N. Central Expressway, Ste. 210. Founder and CEO Khanh Nguyen described McKinney as a natural fit for the brand due to its growth and food culture. The new location will join Zalat’s existing presence in North Texas, Austin, and Houston.

In downtown Prosper, The Gin at 204 W Broadway St. continues to operate as a community gathering spot. Michael Pettis and his mother, Marcia Pettis, started the establishment as a personal project after Michael bought the building in 2015. The business has grown alongside the town’s population, offering homestyle food, drinks, and music.
