Two men have died and two others were hospitalized following a violent altercation at a residential property in Fort Worth early Sunday morning.
Fort Worth Police Department officers responded to the 4300 block of Martin Street around 3:32 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered a large group gathered in the backyard of a home.
According to police, the incident began with an argument between a man and a woman who were acquainted with one another. A second man attempted to step in, which led to a physical fight involving multiple men. The situation turned deadly when firearms were drawn during the scuffle.
The violence resulted in four people being shot. Two of the victims, including the man who had tried to intervene, died at the scene. The shooter and another individual sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to a local hospital. Their current conditions remain unknown.
Investigators are currently working to determine the full circumstances surrounding the event. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the shooting to contact them directly.
