Fort Worth police have taken four juveniles into custody after a shooting linked to a traffic dispute left one person injured on Sunday afternoon. The suspects are between the ages of 14 and 16.
Officers received a call regarding a shooting near the 3400 block of Thannisch Ave. shortly after 1:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they learned that a victim had been transported to a hospital in a private car. The individual sustained injuries from glass fragments after gunfire struck a front door while family members were standing outside.
According to initial reports, the incident originated from road rage, with one driver pursuing another back to their residence. The suspects then discharged weapons toward the people gathered near the home. Investigators entered details about the suspect vehicle into the Flock camera network, which allowed them to locate the car.
When officers attempted to halt the vehicle using lights and sirens, it fled the scene. A pursuit ensued, during which law enforcement observed at least one firearm being tossed from the moving car. The chase concluded near the 1900 block of Handley Ederville Rd.
