Fatal hit-and-run reported in Dallas after late-night crash

Police in Dallas are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that left one person dead after a vehicle struck a pedestrian on South Buckner Boulevard.

A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run incident in Dallas on Wednesday night. The Dallas Police Department is investigating the crash, which occurred near the intersection of South Buckner Boulevard and Elam Road.

Officers arrived at the scene just after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday to find a major accident. According to police at the scene, a vehicle struck a pedestrian. The victim was taken to a hospital but later died from their injuries.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash did not remain at the scene. Authorities have not yet identified the driver or the vehicle. The specific cause of the collision remains under investigation.
