Fort Worth, Texas — Gas prices in the Fort Worth-Arlington area averaged $3.6430 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 16, 2026, according to AAA, up from $3.5330 yesterday. That is up from $3.3640 a week ago but higher than $3.3730 a month ago.
The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.5470, while the national average is $3.9430. Drivers in the Fort Worth-Arlington area are paying above the state average and below the national average.
The Fort Worth-Arlington average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8360. Regular prices are about 27 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.8850, drivers are paying about 76 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Fort Worth-Arlington area averages $4.7650 per gallon, AAA reported.
