Textron has announced two significant developments in its aviation training sector. Pipistrel, a company owned by Textron, has secured Epic Flight Academy as the launch customer for its Voyager next-generation training aircraft. Epic has entered a purchase agreement for up to 50 of these aircraft.
Simultaneously, Bell Textron has marked the delivery of its 700th Bell 505 helicopter. These deliveries have occurred across more than 55 countries, reinforcing the company's presence in light helicopter markets. The Bell 505 has seen broad adoption in military pilot training programs.
The Voyager aircraft features a MOSAIC-aligned design. These recent orders and milestones underscore Textron's focus on modernizing aviation training fleets and expanding its role in future pilot pipelines. The company states that these developments support its aviation training narrative.
Textron projects $16.7 billion in revenue and $1.2 billion in earnings by 2029. This forecast requires 3.2% yearly revenue growth and an earnings increase of approximately $0.3 billion from $936.0 million. Some analysts assume Textron could reach about $17.8 billion in revenue and $1.3 billion in earnings by 2029.
In April 2026, Textron announced a plan to separate its Industrial segment from its aerospace and defense operations. If investors focus more on Textron as a pure play aviation and defense group, the company has over $12 billion in projected 2026 revenue.
Programs like the Voyager and the Bell 505 fleet could feed directly into how they assess the quality and durability of that future earnings base.
