American Airlines has outlined a series of upgrades to its premium travel services at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, including a new dedicated check-in area, an expanded lounge, and a convenience-focused space in a future terminal. The carrier describes these additions as part of an effort to enhance the experience for its most loyal customers at its largest operational hub.

The airline plans to open a Flagship check-in location near the D30 security checkpoint later this year. This area is designed to provide eligible passengers with a private environment for arrival processing. Staff members will offer individual assistance to help travelers move efficiently from the curb to their gates. The service extends the premium check-in offerings currently available at select American hubs globally.

Heather Garboden, American’s Chief Customer Officer, stated that the company is investing in every stage of the premium travel journey at DFW. She noted that the new Flagship check-in experience aims to provide a tailored start to the trip by combining dedicated service with premium amenities. The goal is to increase convenience for high-value customers beginning their journey at the airport.

A new Admirals Club lounge is also scheduled for Terminal C, situated near the Skylink station. Spanning 37,000 square feet, it will be the largest Admirals Club in the airline’s network. The space includes varied seating, work areas, and relaxation zones.

Guests will have access to a menu featuring chef-inspired dishes, expanded charcuterie options, and a beverage program offering specialty cocktails, wines, and local favorites. Signature items include Champagne Bollinger and Lavazza coffee.

Additionally, American intends to introduce a Provisions by Admirals Club lounge in the future Terminal F. This first-phase offering will focus on grab-and-go food, premium drinks, and travel essentials for passengers in transit. The airline plans to share further details about subsequent phases of Terminal F as development continues.

DFW currently serves as the airline’s primary hub, handling over 930 peak daily departures and more than 30 percent of its daily connecting passengers and baggage.

Specific opening dates for the Flagship check-in and the Terminal C lounge have not been provided. Details regarding the full scope of Terminal F’s future premium offerings remain pending.

American Airlines Group employs about 8,900 people in Fort Worth, according to local government records.
