Fort Worth, Texas — Former NFL quarterback Will Grier will join the Cowboys’ coaching staff as an offensive assistant when training camp begins next week.
Dallas announced the move July 24. Grier retired July 15 after spending the offseason with the Panthers, according to ESPN.
Carolina selected Grier in the third round of the 2019 draft. He later had two Dallas stops, with most of his Cowboys work coming in preseason and practice-squad roles.
He now returns to Brian Schottenheimer’s staff and will again work in the same organization as Dak Prescott.
