TCU kept its volleyball winning streak intact Sunday, Oct. 4, beating UCF in four sets at Schollmaier Arena after an unusually long second-set detour.

The Horned Frogs won 25–8, 31–33, 25–19, 25–22 to reach 13–2 overall and 4–0 in the Big 12. The victory was their 11th in a row.

Serving gave TCU a substantial edge. The official box score credits the Frogs with 12 aces, compared with three for UCF. TCU’s match report says that was its highest single-match ace total since recording 13 at Kansas State in 2019.

The opening set suggested a quick afternoon. TCU produced 15 kills without an attack error, hitting .625. UCF then changed the tone completely, holding off six set points during a 33–31 second-set win that brought the match level.

TCU recovered in the third and still had closing work to do in the fourth. UCF erased a 17–12 deficit to draw even at 20, but the Frogs took five of the final seven points to end the match.

Across the four sets, TCU finished with 61 kills, a .333 hitting percentage and 10.5 blocks. UCF hit .208. The combination of service pressure and a more efficient attack helped the Frogs withstand the Knights’ response.

TCU completes the homestand against Arizona on Friday, Oct. 9, with a 6:30 p.m. Central start scheduled at Schollmaier Arena.
