TCU kept No. 12 Texas Tech scoreless through halftime Sunday in Fort Worth, but the margin disappeared soon after the restart. The Horned Frogs lost 1–0 at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium on October 11.

Texas Tech scored from a set piece at 47:12. TCU could not find an equalizer, falling to 5–6–1 overall and 2–4 in Big 12 play.

The home side’s nine corner kicks, compared with Tech’s six, suggest opportunities to put the visiting defense under pressure. They did not translate into enough attempts on target: TCU finished with six shots and two on goal, while Tech took 13 shots.

That is the frustration in this result. TCU stayed within one finish of a point, but territorial pressure and a narrow deficit were not enough to change the outcome.

A goal-line clearance just before halftime had preserved the scoreless first half. After the second-half breakthrough, the Horned Frogs spent the remaining time chasing a match they never let get far away.

TCU’s next stop is Waco for a meeting with Baylor on Friday, October 16, scheduled for 7 p.m. Central.
