Fort Worth, Texas — Center Moussa Cissé will remain with the Dallas Mavericks after the club matched a two-year offer sheet from New York and later announced a multi-year agreement.
According to ESPN, Dallas acted before the deadline on the Knicks’ $4.7 million offer sheet. Cissé cannot be traded for one year without his consent because Dallas matched it.
The Mavericks said July 22 that financial terms of their agreement were not disclosed. In 38 rookie appearances, Cissé recorded 4.5 points a night, 5.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks.
His G League work came with the Texas Legends: 15 regular-season games, with averages of 14.7 points, 13.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.1 blocks, according to Dallas.
