The UCF Knights secured their third win of the season by leveraging remarkable passing efficiency and a stifling defensive effort against the TCU Horned Frogs. Playing at Acrisure Bounce House in Orlando, Fla., UCF defeated the visiting Horned Frogs 21-13 on Saturday, September 26, 2026. The victory moves the Knights to a 3-1 record, while TCU falls to 2-2.
The game was defined by Keyone Jenkins’ near-perfect execution in the air. Jenkins completed 19 of his 20 pass attempts for 160 yards and one touchdown. His accuracy kept the UCF offense moving when it mattered most, culminating in a crucial second-quarter strike that gave the Knights their first lead of the contest.
Scoring Sequence and Momentum Shifts
The opening quarter was a back-and-forth affair. TCU struck first with a 13-yard touchdown run by Taevion Swint, followed immediately by an equalizing one-yard touchdown run from Jeremy Payne for UCF. The Horned Frogs regained the lead early in the second quarter when Nate McCashland kicked a 29-yard field goal, making it 10-7.
However, UCF answered decisively before halftime. Jenkins connected with Caden Piening on a 19-yard pass to tie the game at 14-14 after Will Stone’s extra point. The third quarter saw both offenses struggle to generate points, with TCU extending its lead slightly to 14-13 on a 45-yard McCashland field goal.
The decisive moment arrived in the fourth quarter. Jenkins’ precision paid off again as UCF took control, eventually sealing the win when Landen Chambers punched in a one-yard touchdown run. Stone’s kick made it 21-13, and the Knights’ defense held firm to preserve the margin.
