The fair trip home starts with the last TRE connection
Special Sunday trains expand the options, but late-evening riders must match the Green Line to the westbound TRE schedule.

A train trip to the State Fair of Texas has two schedules to solve: the ride to Fair Park and the connection home. For Fort Worth passengers visiting during opening week, the return transfer at Victory Station deserves a place in the plan before the first train departs.
Trinity Railway Express directs fairgoers to transfer at Victory to DART's Green Line. Fair Park and MLK, Jr. stations then provide access to the grounds. The same connection is needed in reverse for a westbound TRE trip home. TRE's official fair-service information

Monday through Thursday, the last westbound TRE departure from Victory is listed at 10:51 p.m. The connecting Green Line train leaves Fair Park Station at 10:21 p.m., or MLK, Jr. at 10:18 p.m. Those earlier times are the relevant deadlines for someone still near the fairgrounds. Leaving a performance at the TRE departure time would miss the required transfer. A practical evening plan includes time to exit the grounds, reach the correct platform and board the connecting service.

The coming weekend also brings special Sunday service, including Oct. 4. TRE ordinarily does not run on Sundays, but its fair schedule adds designated dates during the Sept. 25–Oct. 18 run. That distinction matters for anyone whose journey depends on an onward connection. A train operating on Sunday does not establish that every associated bus or shuttle is running.

Fairgoers should choose the timetable for their actual travel day and check service alerts before departure. Friday and weekend return times differ from the weekday figures above. The fair's own closing time is a separate piece of information, not a substitute for the transit schedule.
For an opening-week visit, the simplest decision is to select the homebound train first, then fit dinner, rides or a show around the time needed to reach it.
