Trent Brown participated in Houston’s second practice of the week Thursday as the Texans prepare for their Week 3 divisional game against the Indianapolis Colts. The right tackle had been absent Wednesday because of wrist and knee issues listed on Houston’s injury report.
Brown has started both of the Texans’ regular-season games so far. If he remains available through Sunday, he is expected to maintain a perfect attendance record for the season. Dalton Schultz also returned after missing Wednesday, while wide receiver Nico Collins was not listed among Thursday’s participants.
Collins has now missed two consecutive practices this week and four sessions in a row since first suffering his hamstring injury. The available report does not make clear whether he will play against the Colts.
Brown has appeared regularly on the injury report with a lingering wrist issue. Through two games, he has recorded eight pressures allowed, four penalties and one sack, according to the report.
Houston’s tackle depth behind Brown is limited to Blake Fisher, a 2024 second-round pick, and Nate Thomas, who joined the team in a trade made during roster cutdowns. Braden Smith is on injured reserve for the first four weeks of the season after suffering a foot injury during the preseason. The Texans enter the matchup at 0-2 after a 20-6 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
