The Houston Texans worked out linebacker Kenneth Murray on Tuesday as they seek depth following Henry To'oTo'o's shoulder injury. To'oTo'o is expected to miss several months and was placed on injured reserve, while Houston elevated Jamal Hill from its practice squad.
Murray visited the Texans but did not sign a contract. The 27-year-old could provide an option to replace Hill on the practice squad and potentially be elevated for game days, though the source did not report that a deal was reached.
Murray was an All-American at Oklahoma before the Los Angeles Chargers made him the 23rd pick in the 2020 draft. He joined the Tennessee Titans in 2024 and led that team in tackles.
The Dallas Cowboys acquired Murray from Tennessee during the following offseason in exchange for two draft picks. He started all 16 games for Dallas last season, ranking second on the team with 81 tackles. His other production included four tackles for loss, two pass breakups, one sack and a fumble recovery.
