Houston Texans linebacker Henry To’oTo’o will be sidelined for an unspecified period because of a shoulder injury, coach DeMeco Ryans said September 14.

To’oTo’o left Houston’s 36-31 season-opening loss to the Buffalo Bills during the fourth quarter and did not return. He recorded two tackles in the game.

The linebacker had 95 tackles in 2025 after exceeding 100 tackles the previous season. Ryans said To’oTo’o would be “out for some time.”

Houston also could have an injury concern involving Jake Hansen, who was hurt during the loss. Wade Woodaz and Hansen were identified as potential options at linebacker, although the extent of Hansen’s injury was not provided.

Additional details about To’oTo’o’s injury were not yet clear. The report was published by heavy.com.
