C.J. Stroud faced pressure on 45.5% of his dropbacks against man coverage in the loss, while Houston produced 18 rushing yards on 12 attempts. The performance prompted questions for Ryans about the unit's right side and the possible use of second-year tackle Blake Fisher.
Veteran tackle Trent Brown had difficulty handling Cincinnati's pass rush laterally, according to the report, resulting in several breakdowns during passing situations. Fisher, a 2024 second-round selection from Notre Dame, had drawn attention during training camp for his movement and ability to set the edge.
One potential lineup adjustment would move Fisher to right tackle and place Wyatt Teller, a multiple-time All-Pro, in a full-time guard role beside rookie center Keylan Rutledge.
