A car collided with a fence and entered a Fort Worth backyard on Sunday evening, narrowly missing three children who were playing in a swimming pool. The family stated that the vehicle almost struck their two-year-old child before coming to rest.
According to the Fort Worth Police Department, officers responded to an accident near the 1500 block of Heritage Trace at approximately 7 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a vehicle that had breached the property boundary. Surveillance footage obtained by the family shows the toddler walking away just seconds before debris was propelled toward the pool area.
The parents quickly gathered their children, who were reported to be unharmed. The father then approached the vehicle to check on the occupants. Police confirmed there were two individuals inside the car: a driver and a passenger.
The passenger was transported to a hospital in an unknown condition. The driver was cited by officers, though specific charges or details regarding the citation have not been released.
