Fort Worth police seek suspect in fatal Sloop Street shooting

Investigators are looking for an adult suspect who shot a man during a domestic dispute at a north side residence.

Fort Worth police are searching for an individual involved in a fatal shooting that occurred at a home on the city's north side. The incident began as a domestic disturbance between two adults inside the residence on Sloop Street.

Northwest Division officers arrived at the scene in the 6300 block of Sloop Street at 10:27 p.m. on Tuesday. According to the Fort Worth Police Department, a witness went upstairs and informed an adult suspect about the altercation taking place. The suspect then confronted the other adult involved in the dispute and fired a weapon at him at least once before leaving the area.

Emergency medical responders transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner identified the deceased as Kendrick Malone, age 40. Homicide detectives have taken over the case and are currently processing the crime scene.

Authorities stated that the suspect remains at large. Officials described the incident as isolated and indicated there is no ongoing threat to the public. The police department has asked anyone with information about the shooting to contact them directly.
