Parking at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport got more expensive on Oct. 1, with the biggest jumps hitting terminal garages and the short-stop lanes drivers use for drop-offs and pickups.

A day in terminal parking now costs $37 with a TollTag, $5 more than before, or $40 with a credit card, an $8 increase.

The new short-stop prices:

  • Drop-off, 8 to 30 minutes: $1 with a TollTag, $3 by credit card
  • Meeter/Greeter, 30 to 60 minutes: $3 with a TollTag, $5 by credit card
  • Meeter/Greeter, one to two hours: $5 with a TollTag, $7 by credit card
  • Passthrough on International Parkway: $12 with a TollTag, $15 by credit card

Daily rates for the other lots are $23 TollTag or $25 card for Express covered, $20 or $22 for Express uncovered, and $14 or $16 for Remote parking.

Airport officials pointed to inflation and higher prices for labor and materials, along with major road work, new bridges and new terminal exits, as reasons for the increase. Rates were last raised in 2024.

Todd Engles, a rideshare driver who goes to the airport a couple of times a week, said the change adds up quickly. "Parking went drastically up," he said, adding that paying by credit card has "actually tripled the price" for him. He said he has seen charges as high as $9 for short stays.

Reserving parking online before arriving can cut the cost by up to 50%, according to Spectrum News.
