The Bobcats established an early lead when running back Hector Robles scored the only first-half touchdown with 3:50 remaining in the opening quarter.
Despite this advantage, neither offense managed to extend the lead, and the defensive units dominated the first half, keeping the score at 7-0 at the break.
Southwest shifted momentum in the third quarter when defensive end Jeremiah Hogg intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown with 8:58 left in the period. This pick-six tied the game at 7-7. Southwest head coach Joseph Turner described his players as extremely talented, skilled, and aggressive this season. The third quarter ended with the teams still tied, setting up a decisive final period.
The Raiders took the lead in the fourth quarter when Davian Fields scored a touchdown with 8:32 remaining, putting Southwest ahead 14-7. Benbrook responded quickly, with Dorien Johnson scoring a touchdown with 4:35 left to tie the game at 14-14. Benbrook head coach Cody Slater noted that his players fought through adversity and supported one another throughout the contest.
