High school football teams across the Fort Worth area completed their Week 3 matchups on Thursday, September 10. The results included a variety of outcomes for local and regional programs. In non-district play, Arlington Lamar defeated Justin Northwest 33-15, while Weatherford beat Fort Worth Paschal 31-18.
Keller outscored McKinney Boyd 41-27, and Azle edged Irving MacArthur 49-41. South Garland won 28-14 against Irving Nimitz, and Mansfield defeated Plano 31-28. Waxahachie took a 44-30 victory over Denton Guyer, and Fort Worth Chisholm Trail beat Arlington Seguin 50-42.
Garland Naaman Forest won 45-9 against Saginaw, and Fort Worth South Hills defeated Dallas Adams 44-0. Fort Worth Trimble Tech beat Venus 46-3, and Frisco Heritage won 41-0 against Carrollton Turner. Burleson Centennial defeated Ennis 31-10, and Dallas Episcopal beat Dallas St. Mark’s 27-13.
Fort Worth Southwest Christian won 24-14 against Fort Worth Country Day, and Fort Worth Southwest defeated Dallas Sunset 49-0. Decatur Victory Christian beat Keller Harvest Christian 63-43.
A large number of games were scheduled for Friday, September 11, with most contests set to begin at 7 p.m. Arlington Oakridge was set to play Austin St. Andrew’s in SPC Class 3A action. In non-district play, Aledo faced Euless Trinity at Pennington Field, and Red Oak played Arlington at Maverick Stadium.
Haltom faced Arlington Bowie at Choctaw Stadium, and Arlington Sam Houston played Cleburne at Yellow Jacket Stadium. Crowley was scheduled to play at Arlington Martin, and Fort Worth Boswell was set to face Flower Mound. Frisco Rock Hill played Haslet Eaton at Northwest ISD Stadium, and Keller Central faced Carrollton Creekview at Standridge Stadium.
