SPARK! Dallas, an educational nonprofit focused on youth creativity, has announced SPARKtacular, a fundraising event scheduled for Thursday, September 10. The gathering will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at a private residence in Dallas, which is located approximately 31 miles east of Fort Worth. The event is designed exclusively for adults aged 21 and older and will feature live music, handcrafted cocktails, and exceptional cuisine.
Event co-chairs Kristi and Ron Hoyl, along with Melissa Sherrill and Ross Martin, are organizing the fundraiser. The organization aims to use the proceeds to provide scholarships for students from Title 1 schools. Meg Bittner, president and CEO of SPARK!, emphasized the importance of creativity and original thought for future leaders. She noted that the organization works with schools to promote learning and critical thinking skills through STEAM education in a creative setting.
Melissa Sherrill highlighted SPARK! as a dynamic nonprofit serving students and educators by providing pathways to success through art education. Kristi Hoyl added that the goal is to give deserving students access to SPARK!'s creative environment to develop their skills. She suggested that future artists, architects, or engineers could be among those supported by the event.
During the 2025-2026 school year, SPARK! has hosted 105 schools and organizations, serving nearly 7,000 students on field trips. More than 51% of these students come from Title 1 schools. Additionally, nearly 40% of open play admissions are from Museums for All attendees, who receive reduced admission due to government benefits such as SNAP, WIC, and Medicaid.
Sponsorships for the event range from $1,000 to $50,000. Tickets will be sold closer to the date if availability permits. More information about SPARKtacular can be found at https://sparkdallas.org/sparktacular/.
