The Fort Worth-area band The Dick Beldings is preparing a T-shirt tribute to Dennis Haskins, the actor whose television character inspired its name, according to NBC 5’s Sept. 29 report.
Founding singer Aaron Allen told the station that the group is working with Printed Threads in Fort Worth on the shirts. The band performs 1990s music and has been playing for 16 years, NBC reported.
Haskins portrayed Principal Richard Belding on Saved by the Bell. His agent confirmed the actor’s death to The Associated Press on Sept. 29.
Allen told NBC that the band had corresponded with Haskins over the years but had not met him in person. The report describes the shirts as a tribute in development; it does not provide a sale date or purchasing information.
