Stroud and Collins Drive Houston Early
Houston established an early lead, with C.J. Stroud throwing for 347 yards and two touchdowns on 21 of 31 attempts. Nico Collins was the primary target, catching seven passes for 118 yards and two scores.
The Texans' offense was punctuated by several long field goals from Ka'imi Fairbairn, who converted attempts of 51, 39, and 54 yards. David Montgomery rushed for 24 yards on 10 carries, providing a baseline ground game that kept Houston competitive. Williams Powers the Cowboys' Comeback
The tide turned in the third quarter when Javonte Williams began his scoring surge. The Dallas back recorded 62 rushing yards on 19 carries and scored three touchdowns, including an 8-yard run that cut Houston's lead to one point. Dak Prescott followed up with 335 passing yards on 32 of 45 attempts and one touchdown pass.
