Conner Weigman threw for 239 yards and ran for four touchdowns, powering the Houston Cougars to a 27-17 victory over the UCF Knights on Saturday, October 3. The win improves Houston’s record to 4-1, while UCF falls to 3-2 in the standings.

The game began with the visitors controlling the tempo. Keyone Jenkins connected with Josh Derry on a 13-yard pass in the first quarter to give UCF an early 7-0 lead. Will Stone added a 30-yard field goal late in the second period, extending the Knights' advantage to 10-0 at halftime.
