Fort Worth, Texas — Gas prices in the Fort Worth-Arlington area averaged $3.8209 per gallon for regular unleaded on October 9, 2026, according to AAA, down from $3.8469 yesterday. That is down from $3.9666 a week ago and higher than $3.7875 a month ago.
The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.8511, while the national average is $4.3718. Drivers in the Fort Worth-Arlington area are paying below the state average and below the national average.
The Fort Worth-Arlington average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8360. Regular prices are about 3 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.8101, drivers are paying about 101 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Fort Worth-Arlington area averages $5.6478 per gallon, AAA reported.
