Fort Worth, Texas — Gas prices in the Fort Worth-Arlington area averaged $3.9666 per gallon for regular unleaded on October 2, 2026, according to AAA, up from $3.9558 yesterday. That is up from $3.9052 a week ago but higher than $3.6958 a month ago.
The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.9397, while the national average is $4.3961. Drivers in the Fort Worth-Arlington area are paying above the state average and below the national average.
The Fort Worth-Arlington average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8360. Regular prices are about 27 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.7973, drivers are paying about 117 cents more per gallon.
