Fort Worth, Texas — Gas prices in the Fort Worth-Arlington area averaged $3.9558 per gallon for regular unleaded on October 1, 2026, according to AAA, up from $3.8972 yesterday. That is up from $3.9220 a week ago but higher than $3.7069 a month ago.
The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.9427, while the national average is $4.4137. Drivers in the Fort Worth-Arlington area are paying above the state average and below the national average.
The Fort Worth-Arlington average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8360. Regular prices are about 25 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.7035, drivers are paying about 125 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Fort Worth-Arlington area averages $5.7635 per gallon, AAA reported.
