Fort Worth, Texas — Gas prices in the Fort Worth-Arlington area averaged $3.8732 per gallon for regular unleaded on September 12, 2026, according to AAA, down from $3.8763 yesterday. That is up from $3.6443 a week ago but higher than $3.5467 a month ago.
The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.8549, while the national average is $4.3104. Drivers in the Fort Worth-Arlington area are paying above the state average and below the national average.
The Fort Worth-Arlington average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8360. Regular prices are about 33 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.9332, drivers are paying about 94 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Fort Worth-Arlington area averages $5.9142 per gallon, AAA reported.
