A Springtown man who repeatedly issued violent threats against President Trump and federal immigration officers was sentenced to 33 months in federal prison, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas.

Francisco Jesus Mena, 37, pleaded guilty June 9, 2025, to one count of threatening a federal official. U.S. Chief District Judge Reed O’Connor imposed the sentence, the release said.

According to court documents, Mena posted numerous threats on social media between May 13 and May 25, 2025. Prosecutors said he repeatedly threatened to assault and murder the president, including by writing variations of “KILL TRUMP” across multiple dates and platforms.

The release also said Mena threatened ICE agents, writing that if they came to his residence, he would “respond with a gunfight.” He claimed he had previously stabbed an ICE agent and “would love to do this again,” prosecutors said.

Mena also allegedly encouraged violence against federal officers and white people, offered payment or solicitation to harm the president, said he did not need money to “take out Trump” and requested access to a sniper.

The FBI and U.S. Secret Service investigated with assistance from local law enforcement. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Justin Beck and Ethan Womble of the Fort Worth Division prosecuted the case.
