Bouanga scores twice as LAFC beats Austin FC 3-1

Denis Bouanga scored twice and Son Heung-Min assisted on both before scoring himself as LAFC beat Austin FC 3-1 on Wednesday night at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.

After a scoreless first half, Bouanga opened the scoring in the 52nd minute with a close-range finish.

Austin tied it in the 66th minute on Brandon Vázquez's shot from outside the box, assisted by Myrto Uzuni, who had come on three minutes earlier.

LAFC needed one minute to retake the lead, with Bouanga scoring from the center of the box. Son made it 3-1 in the 72nd minute off a pass from Jacob Shaffelburg.

LAFC took 28 shots and put 11 on target. Austin had 14 shots, four on target, and 60 percent of possession. Austin goalkeeper Brad Stuver made eight saves, and LAFC's Hugo Lloris made three.

Austin has 31 points from 7 wins, 10 draws and 12 losses and has lost two straight. LAFC has 45 points.
