Fort Worth has scheduled a free groundbreaking ceremony for the Fire Station Community Center project at 10 a.m. CDT Saturday, Oct. 24, at 1601 Lipscomb St.
The city’s project description calls for a new facility and site improvements, with a gymnasium, fitness area and meeting rooms among the planned spaces. It also allows for retaining, renovating and expanding portions of the existing center.
The Park & Recreation Department lists the Oct. 24 gathering as the project’s groundbreaking. The ceremony announcement does not provide an opening date.
